Nurture your body and mind after a though sightseeing day
Happy New Year! Who said the Christmas holidays are relaxing? Family and social commitments, big meals, late nights up… Plus if you are celebrating the holidays abroad, add all the walking around, standing in line, absorbing as much as you can front the sites you are visiting, struggling to make yourself understood in a foreign language…
If you came to Barcelona, make sure to plan some time-off during your trip to get a real break and take care of yourself after a long day sightseeing. Submerge in healing waters, have your muscles rubbed and massaged, regal your skin with deliciously scented creams and oils. That’s a real rest! Do you want to know where to find that in town?
Here are our 5 favorite hotel spas in Barcelona:
1: Six Senses (Arts Ritz Carlton Hotel). With amazing city views from the top of the highest building in Barcelona, here you’ll feel like a star. Separate areas for men and women. Pools, saunas, outdoor terrace overlooking the sea, and a variety of beauty treatments and healthy green juices. Their Six Senses Sensory Journey will make you feel like paradise for 3 whole hours!
SpacioOmm (Omm Hotel). This trendy venue featuring a complete water circuit stands outs by two other unique features: gravitation beds to relax after a treatment, and their special anti-aging oxygen therapy. You can also get all kind of massages, or treat yourself with one of their Rituals of the World (do you feel like vanilla? go for the Oriental one!)
Majestic Spa (Majestic Hotel). It was the first European spa to get the SpaExcellence certification, and it totally deserves it. It doesn’t have a water area, but their treatments make up for it. Amongst a huge variety of massages and packages, we love indulging in the luxury of their Majestic Diamond treatment, with real diamond dust.
Bliss Spa (W Hotel). Apart from the exclusive treatment rooms and a wet area shared with the other hotel guests, in the first Bliss™ space in Europe you’ll find a gorgeous beauty boutique and a coveted brownie buffet. Our favorite therapy here is the one designed for shopaholics (even if you didn’t go shopping, your legs will appreciate this massage after a long day touring!).
Mayan Luxury Spa (Palace Hotel). Although they really have a water area, we choose it because it’s so hard to choose amongst their super-creative treatments! Silk & Shells? Cacao? Aztek gold? Tahitian black sand? They even have special kids packages for your little princesses and superheroes (that is, your children of course!). But for its originality, we choose their special temazcal Mayan rebirth ritual of the 4 elements.
