Private tours of the Barcelona Gothic QuarterThis tour starts with a stroll around the Gothic Quarter: we’ll wander around medieval alleys and squares, enter Gothic patios… We’ll see Roman ruins, as well as the Royal Palace, the City Council and the Generalitat Government building, and other interesting sties.

Of course, we won’t miss the Cathedral, an impressive Gothic Basilica where we can enter the wooden choir, be impressed at the artistic side chapels, see the crypt of St. Eulàlia and take pictures of the cloister with the geese.

If you are interested, we will also stroll around the Call, the medieval Jewish Section. The area suffered a pogrom in 1391 and not so much is left, but you can still feel the medieval atmosphere in its narrow alleys, and its ancient history will fascinate you. We can also visit there the oldest synagogue in Europe.

Next we will head to La Rambla, a vibrant Private tours of the Boqueria Marketboulevard in the middle of the Old Town, famous for its street performers and the pretty flower market (plus some other interesting sites).

In the heart of it is located the famous Boqueria Food Market, were we’ll unveil for you the secrets of one of the best food markets in the whole world. Outstanding displays, local products and exotic food, all in one place!

After that, a short walk will take us to the Eixample District (Expansion Area), designed by Ildefons Cerdà, our city planner, and where the local Art Nouveau, known as Modernism, was developed between the end of the 1800s and beginning of the 1900s. In the main street, Passeig de Gràcia, we’ll see the Block of Disagreement and we’ll learn about the 3 best architects of the time: Domènech i Muntaner, Puig i Cadafalch, and of course, Antoni Gaudí. We’ll stop to take pictures of Casa Batlló and Casa Milà/Pedrera

Finally, a short taxi or subway ride get to the Private tours of the Sagrada Familia churchamazing Sagrada Família Church, Gaudí’s Masterpiece. Don’t miss the inside now that it’s finished! Gaudi worked here the last 43 years of his life until he died in 1926. The completion of the whole church (10 more tours and the main entrance are still missing) is scheduled for 2026-30 approx. You’ve never been in a place like that before!

  • Entrance fees not included.

:llum: Extended versions of this tour:

A 5h tour would allow us to visit also one of the Gaudí apartment buildings from inside. A longer tour would be recommended for those wishing to include more Gaudí’s works, and might require more taxi rides and include a lunch stop.
