DID YOU KNOW… That with our official tourguide license we get to skip the lines in the Picasso Museum?
Your itinerary will start at the 4 Gats, the bohemian cafe where the modernist artists used to meet to discuss art and hear the freshest intellectual news arriving from Paris.
Next we’ll head to Sala Parés: The oldest art gallery in Spain, where Picasso also exhibited (with not as much success as he expected…)
Nearby are located the headquarters of the Architects Board, for whom Picasso designed the mural that decorates the exterior getting inspiration from the Mediterranean culture and festivals.
Afterwards, the itinerary will take you to La Llotja, the art school where his father was teaching, and where he also attended lessons.
And from there, we’ll head to La Mercè and La Barceloneta quarters, where you’ll see the streets where Picasso lived with his parents, and also where he had his workshops.
Finally, we’ll head to the Picasso Museum to visit its permanent collection. It’s the only in the world specialized in the training period of the artist, and it also features a remarkable blue period collection. We’ll discover too the Meninas series created by Picasso in the fifties.
