Marta
Marta is the creator of Foreverbarcelona.com and has been a Barcelona private tourguide since 2000. She’s as passionate about her job as much as she is in love with Barcelona… and she’ll make you feel that way, too!
Marta’s love story with her profession started as a summer job when after traveling for a year after finishing college she was hired at the Sagrada Familia church (Gaudí’s Masterpiece), where she was trained to give tours for the special visitors (VIPs, press, etc.) amongst other responsibilities.
In 2000, encouraged by other guides she’d met, she passed the exams to become an Official Tourguide, and two years later she quitted the Sagrada Familia to devote herself to touring full-time. She quickly discovered that private tours were her favorite way to show people around: she loves connecting with people, sharing her passion and making her guests fall in love with Barcelona.
After over 10 years giving tours, she’s still enthusiastic about her job (and people rave more and more about her tours!). She’s friendly and welcoming, fun, knowledgeable and resourceful, but also efficient and responsible. She’s an entrepreneur and a creative lady that will make you feel at home and will understand your needs and excels at giving you what you want.
