Do You Know What Barcelona Restaurants Open Sunday?

ARE THERE ANY RESTAURANTS IN BARCELONA OPEN ON SUNDAY?

Sunday evening, what a horrible day to go out for dinner in Barcelona! Most of restaurants are closed and the ones open look so touristy! Well that is not actually true…

Although they seem difficult to find, you can still enjoy some good food if you get the appropriate advice. Here you have our top 5 places to eat on Sunday night in town:

Here is where to eat in Barcelona on Sunday:

1

Restaurant Pla

It is a very intimate restaurant located in the heart of the Gothic Quarter. The menu is sprinkled with both Catalan and international -especially Eastern- influences. A very special gastronomic offer, perfect for romantic evenings with good background music.

2

El Merendero de la Mari

Located in the historical building of Palau de Mar in La Barceloneta, El Merendero offers fantastic views from its terrace over Port Vell. Its menu presents a wide range of dishes, including seafood, fish and paellas.

3

La Bella Napoli

When you walk in the restaurant you can easily feel it is a little piece of Italy settled in Barcelona, great pasta and pizzas, casual but professional service, traditional Napolitanian ambiance, noisy and funny waiters… we are not afraid to say this is the best Italian restaurant in Barcelona.

4

Paco Meralgo

It is more than just a tapas place. They offer a tremendous combination of traditional and creative tapas dishes with top products. Its good selection of wines and professional service are highly remarkable too.

5

Montiel Espai Gastronomic

Although depending on the season it is not always open on Sundays – bookings in advanced are very much recommendable -, we would like to add Montiel to the list because, from our point of view, it is one of the best restaurants in town. The quality of its products and the attentiveness of its service are some of the reasons that put it at the top part of our dining suggestions list. Perfect choice to pair with a late visit of the Picasso Museum or a walk around the Born quarter.

6

El Nacional

The newest addition to the city restaurants scene: a refined café in the early 1900’s, then a sad parking lot, now… a the fanciest food court in Passeig de Gràcia!

Pick one of their lunch or dinner spaces: the meat grill, the fish restaurant or the tapas bar, or just have a salad and a toast in their healthy corner, or enjoy some ham and cheese paired with a glass of wine, beer or vermouth standing at the central counter.
