Actual. I love the location of this three star hotel: just around the corner from Passeig de Gràcia and so close to La Pedrera by Gaudi (actually some rooms have a view to it). Nice food options nearby and lots of shopping. A boutique three star hotel!
Axel. This other three star hotel is a bit further away (5-10min walk from the center), but it’s great to see more of the “real Barcelona” where locals live and work. It is very modern and trendy, and its bar in the street level is quite popular. What makes it different is that it’s a “hetero-friendly” hotel (mostly aimed at gays, but other sexual orientations are welcome too)
Continental Palacete. If you are looking for an old-school place to stay, then you must check out this Louis-XV decorated hotel in equally elegant Rambla de Catalunya (the continuation of the touristy Rambla becomes more refined north of Plaça Catalunya). Probably the only one of all the 3 star hotels in Barcelona with this romantic old-fashioned style.
Jazz. A modern three-star hotel but without excessive sophistication. Its location can’t be more central: really close to Plaça Catalunya and walking distance from everything: Rambla, Gothic Quarter, Passeig de Gràcia… You’ll only need transportation to get to Sagrada Familia, Montjuic, the beach or Park Guell (and you have all the required subway stations around the corner!). H10 Racó del Pi. Finally, our choice for the best Barcelona 3 star hotels is located in the Old Town, in a lively commercial pedestrian street between la Rambla and the Gothic Quarter. You’ll love the shops and cafés nearby, the Gothic church of Santa Maria del Pi, and the medieval alleys around it. Not recommended if you have walking issues as sometimes cabs won’t be able to drop you at the door of the hotel.

Room Mate Pau. Fancy but welcoming, this new three star hotel is centrally located around the corner from Plaça Catalunya and walking distance to most sites, shopping areas and restaurants. Free wifi and a personal touch that will make you feel at home: that’s the philosofy of this Spanish chain that gives their hotels local people first names.
