Top Barcelona hotels with parking
Need a hotel with parking in Barcelona?
Driving around a big strange city doesn’t sound such a good idea, especially when you have a good public transport to move around. That’s why if you arrive to Barcelona by car, it’s highly recommended to choose an hotel with parking so you can leave the car safely parked there. Take into account that it’s difficult to find free parking in Barcelona and you’ll end up having to pay for private Barcelona parking garages anyway. So forget about the nightmare of driving and parking in the city, and use public transportation, taxis or walk instead.
Today we I have chosen some of the best hotels in Barcelona with parking for you. You’ll notice that most of them are located in the Eixample district or near the ringroad, because they are easiest to get to by car. We do not recommend hotels with parking in the Old Town because the alleys are difficult to navigate unless you know them by heart (yes, even if you have a GPS!). Even taxi drivers avoid some of the backstreets there! We don’t like the airport hotels with parking either because they are way too far from the city.
These are our favorite hotels in Barcelona with parking:
Pullman Skipper. Great 5-stars hotel with parking, located by the seaside near the beach. A part from a 24h parking, it features two outside pools, gym, spa and meeting rooms. It’s well connected to the city centre by subway and buses, and there are plenty of fun seafood restaurants nearby.
Ohla. This 5 star boutique hotel in the city centre is one of our favorite options for any kind of trip. What we like the most is the contrast between the inside vanguard design with the neoclassic facade designed by Frederic Amat. There is a chill-out in the terrace as well as a glazed pool, a gym, a fitness room with personal trainers, meeting room and a splendid gastronomy offer by Saüc Restaurant with one Michelin star. Their parking has a car park attendant.
El Palace. If you like staying in the city center, this is another excellent option close to Las Ramblas, Passeig de Gràcia (the best shopping avenue) and the city’s main attractions. What I like the most there is its Diana Garden, the new romantinc terrace decorated with more than 50 plant species, fountains, pergolas, ponds… On the rooftop terrace there’s the swimming pool and 360º panoramic views. They have a nice parking service and they can also organize a private chauffeur service if needed.
Gran Hotel La Florida. This luxury urban resort situated at the top of the Tibidabo Hill (at 500 metres above sea level) is the best option to relax far from the hustle and bustle of the city center. They have exclusive services such the Spa by L’Occitane, the high end cuisine by L’Orangerie, a great gym and wellness areas, and an amazing stainless steel infinity pool. There’s a fee-paying car park and a free shuttle service to the city center at certain hours.
Monument. It’s located in Passeig the Gràcia, the heart of the shopping district and a beautiful modernist avenue, just one block from La Pedrera by Gaudí, and a few minutes walk from the Old Town. The hotel is modern and functional, what nicely contrasts with the building itself: a pretty mansion of the XIX century. Martin Berasategui, a well-known Spanish chef with 7 Michelin stars, is in charge of its restaurants. From the terrace, situated in the 8th floor, you’ll enjoy unique views over La Pedrera and Sagrada Família.
But wait! Most of them are high end expensive hotels. Want to know our pick for a hotel that offers the best value for money? Share this post to discover it!
Balmes Residence Derby. This modern 3-star hotel in the city center has preserved the charming essence of the modernist building from the early 1900’s that houses it. You’ll be surprised by its singular architecture and the collection of African art that is exhibited in every room. There is a garden, outdoor swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, bar, restaurant… and of course, parking for the clients.
