Unveiling The Best Hotels With Views In Barcelona

LOOKING FOR BARCELONA SEA VIEW HOTELS OR CITY VIEW HOTELS?

One of my favorite indulgences when traveling is enjoying the best views from the comfort of my hotel. That could be the same for you in your next Barcelona trip! Our city is beautiful and has an spectacular skyline with lots of landmarks everywhere you look. Can you imagine waking up int he morning and the first thing you see is that? And then, at night, a last glance to the city lights before going to sleep.

What else can you ask for? Isn’t that part of your idea of luxury? But it’s not easy to figure out what hotels do really offer great views. Some might mention views, but they just refer to street views, not the whole city. But if having great city views would make the difference between booking a hotel or another, today we get you covered.

Discover with us the hotels in Barcelona with the best views, either sea views or the city itself, whatever you prefer. Ready? We’ll also tell you how to enjoy those views even if you aren’t staying there, whenever it’s possible!

This is our list of Barcelona hotels with best views:

The Hotel Arts is located in the Port Olímpic, and being the tallest building in Barcelona definitely offers great views over the Mediterranean sea and its beaches, as well as the city. Most rooms face one site or the other, so makes sure to be specific about your preferences when you make your booking.

You’ll be able to enjoy maximum luxury by the seaside, plus a private garden with pool and a great gastronomic offer that includes a 2 Michelin star restaurant. We also love their Sunday brunch, and we believe their concierges are some of the best in town – they will definitely help as much as they can to make your stay more than perfect.

By the way, if you aren’t staying there you can still book a beauty treatment in their spectacular spa, that takes advantage of its spectacular views in the rest areas, as well.

W Hotel

This spectacular hotel with sea views was designed by the architect Ricardo Bofill, and is also by the sea. The sea views that you can admire from their rooms and suites, terraces, lounges and the many restaurants and bars of the hotel, are spectacular, and being located at the tail end of the Barceloneta, you also get to enjoy an unusual view of the city waterfront, that you otherwise can only see from a boat.

If you aren’t staying there, come anyway to enjoy the sunset from its cool cocktail bar on the 26th floor, the Eclipse Bar, and then stay for an informal dinner and drinks until it gets dark, to contemplate the night city views. Later on at night, it becomes the city nightclub with (evidently) the very best city views in town.

3

Hotel Grand Marina

Live the Mediterranean essence from this luxury hotel with sea views located in the World Trade Center complex, in Port Vell, within walking distance from the bottom of La Rambla and the Columbus Sculpture, and just a bit further from the Gothic Quarter and the Born District. We love this hotel more for its sea views than its city views, although the rooms overlooking the Port Vell Marina have beautiful views over the city waterfront, as well.

If you are arriving or departing on a small cruise ship, you’ll be delighted to discover that this hotel is right and right beside your pier and you won’t even need a taxi ride (mind that large ships stop in Moll Adossat, and then a ride is definitely needed).

4

Hotel Miramar

If you’d love to have panoramic views of Barcelona, from the city to the sea, the Hotel Miramar is undoubtedly an option to take into account. This building from 1920, carefully restored, is located at the top of the Montjuic hill and offers the opportunity to stay away the crowds, in the middle of the nature but within a short taxi ride from the city center (or you can also walk to the Funicular, that quickly connects you with the city subway network).

It is also a nice walk from several gardens and cultural and sport sites: the Miro Foundation, the Castle of Montjuic, the Olympic Stadium… A good choice for honeymooners and for those having been to Barcelona other times and wanting to explore areas where tourists won’t typically linger too long.

This high tech hotel is located in an impressive skyscraper offering 360º views over the city. Its 120 meters high and 29 floors are only rivaled in the area by the emblematic AGBAR tower (you know, that one with a, well, “surprising” shape – that by the way, is also destined to become a hotel in the future).

It is a good choice for contemporary architecture lovers, since there are lots of interesting examples of brand new buildings in the area, now the local technological district, and you’ll also be able to explore the lively and off the beaten path Poblenou neighborhood nearby.

If you aren’t staying there, you can enjoy its spectacular views also from the Michelin star restaurant Dos Cielos. But we do recommend to stay there in the summer for their fantastic infinity pool located at the top of the building.

6

Gran Hotel La Florida

This luxury boutique hotel is located at the top of the Tibidabo mountain, 500m above the sea level: the views from the city and the sea are simply breathtaking: I’d dare say some of the best hotel views in Europe. The only downside is that it’s 20 minutes by taxi or shuttle from the city center (according to their website, but it can be longer depending on traffic, to be honest).

If you don’t mind the distance, thought, it is an ideal place to relax in a quiet atmosphere, away from the bustle of the city, and its spa, infinity pool and romantic restaurant makes it one of the best hotels in Barcelona for couples.

What’s the best hotel with views you’ve ever stayed in?
