Having a drink in one of my favorite rooftop bars in Barcelona is one of my favorite evening plans in the summer. I love enjoying the city views during the sunset, and the city lights after dark. I love the glamour and the cheerfulness of the crowd, and I love the touch of exclusivity and privacy that being at a rooftop terrace involves.

Duquessa de Cardona
Looking for a rooftop terrace in Barcelona with views over the port? This hotel might be not as famous as the previous ones, but it is a hidden gem. And not just in the summertime, but all year around: not so many rooftop bars in Barcelona are as well conditioned as this one is for the winter: stoves, candles and blankets create a cozy and warm atmosphere. La Isabela (Hotel 1898)
If there is one reason for locals to come to la Rambla in the evening, it is to enjoy the views from the top of the 1898 Hotel: the belltowers of the Cathedral and Sta. Maria del Pi church in one side, the Montjuïc Hill in the other, and La Rambla at your feet! At their rooftop restaurant you can try a selection of tapas specialties, fish fresh from the nearby Boqueria market as well as some lovely comfort food options.

Alaire (Hotel Condes de Barcelona)
Our choice among the rooftop bars in Barcelona shopping district. Locals choose it to unwind after work enjoying a cocktail while watching the views over the rooftop of Casa Milà. The Sagrada Familia church is also seen from the distance. Plus in the summertime evenings there is live music. Check out the Condes de Barcelona hotel.

La Dolce Vitae (Hotel Majestic)
Ready to nurture your palate with exquisite gourmet delicacies? I hear you! There is also a gourmet rooftop terrace in Barcelona for you. The rooftop bar of the Majestic is run by the Michelin star chef Nando Jubany, who has chosen the most selected ingredients to create high end gourmet informal food. Hotel Neri
Definitely the most romantic of all the rooftop bars in Barcelona. Hidden in the alleys of the Gothic Quarter, you’d never think that at the top of this boutique hotel there is probably the greenest rooftop terrace in Barcelona. The bushes and ivy make it almost feel like you are in the forest, and its irregular distribution ensures lots of quiet corners. There are also a couple of very coveted hammocks. Barceló Raval
We left for the end our top favorite. This hotel located in the heart of the Raval district offers a 360º view over the city. Plus it is one of the rooftop bars in Barcelona with a pool. Locals flock here in the summer, but we advise to take a taxi to get there, because of streets of the neighborhood aren’t too recommendable… Check out the Barcelo Raval hotel.
