Costa de Barcelona Water Parks
1
Illa Fantasia
The closest water park to Barcelona is a great option for a fun and wet day. You'll find there a large variety of slides, a large wave pool (2000sqm / 0.5 acre), 1 floatie slide, several kids areas, and one extreme fall slide. This park is ideal for families and people looking for some exciting rides but that won't need many adrenaline highs. It's also perfect if you are staying in Barcelona and don't have your own car, because it's quite easy to get there by public transportation. It does get crowded for that reason, though.

Tips to visit the best water parks in Barcelona
- Make sure to pack water proof sunscreen
- Bring flip-flops: the concrete paths and the artificial grass areas might be really hot in the Summer
- Get tickets in advance to avoid long lines at the entrance
- Use the lockers to keep your belongings safe
- Double check the opening hours for the exact date you’ll be visiting (it might change depending on the season or day of the week)
- Plan for buffer travel time to get there: if you get lost, miss the bus or train or are somehow delayed, you’ll be glad to have planned ahead
- Double check at what time is the last train/bus back, if you are using public transportation: you don’t want to get stuck there!
- Don’t forget your ID card – they might request it at the entrance to make sure you are entitled to any admissions discounts
- Plan your meal ahead: either bring a picnic or make sure there’s food you like at the park restaurants
- When possible, plan to stay until closing time: the last hours are usually less crowded
- If you are traveling with kids, be aware of the height restrictions, to make sure there’s enough options for them
