A modern hotel that belongs to a reputable Spanish chain. It is located in a street right off la Rambla, in the corner with a small alley that takes you straight to the back of the market, allowing you to avoid the hussle of the Boqueria main entrance, always so crowded... Silken Ramblas
And only one block further into the Raval district, away enough from the noise of La Rambla, the Silken ups the game a little: convenient and with little charm, but rooftop with bar and pool, maybe not a spa but at least a sauna and it also has a parking lot. You’ll want to enter La Rambla through the narrow Carrer de les Cabres that opens into Plaça de Sant Galdrich, where a handful of farmers set up their vegetable stalls in the morning, and the rest of the day the famous Bar Papitu offers delicious tapas.

While there are other 4-star hotels closer to La Boqueria than the Arai, such as the Petit Palace Boqueria, the Rivoli and the Royal Ramblas, I couldn’t stop myself from including it in my selection because the Arai is a luxury aparthotel featuring beautifully designed luxury apartments with fully equipped kitchens, ideal if you dream of buying your groceries in the market and cook them yourself.

Hotel Sant Agusti
Considered the oldest hotel in Barcelona, the hotel occupies what used to be the library of the Convent of Saint Agustin, and you’ll find references to the building’s past included in the hotel decoration.
