9AM

WATERFRONT

By the Mediterranean Sea

9.15AM

Your guide and your driver will pick you up at your location and your tour will start with a ride along the waterfront: beaches, Barceloneta district and Old Port marina. It’s a great way to start connecting with the city, as your tour starts gathering momentum.

HILL OF MONTJUIC

The city green lung

9.30AM

At the end of the Old Port marina and in front of the cruise piers rises the Hill of Montjuic, Southern limit of the city and one of its green lungs. From here you’ll enjoy magnificent views over Barcelona before heading to the Olympic Ring where most of the 1992 Olympic facilities are located: a pleasant area with interesting photo opportunities. After that you’ll continue your ride to the 1929 World Fair area, from where you’ll see the impressive Palau National (MNAC Museum) building, and Plaça Espanya with its Venetian towers and the former Las Arenas bullring.

EIXAMPLE DISTRICT

The Modernist expansion of the city

Next you’ll continue driving across the largest district in Barcelona, the Eixample district, on your way to your next stop. You’ll learn about how the city grid was designed by Ildefons Cerdà and get familiar with the Modernism style and the influence we received from Paris in the 1800 and 1900’s.

No photo stop is planned during this ride.

PARK GÜELL

Fairy-tale Land

10.45AM

Your drive will take you past the Gracia district on to Park Güell, famous for the ceramic tiles that decorate a gorgeous undulating bench, and a fantastic main entrance that looks just like gingerbread houses. Here is also located the famous Gaudi  Dragon (or salamander) fountain.

11.30AM

SAGRADA FAMILIA CHURCH

Unbelievable

11.45AM

Your tour leaves the best for the last: the fascinating Sagrada Familia church, Gaudí’s masterpiece. You will go inside with our guide without waiting in line, and you will be amazed at the breathtaking inside of this magnificent church that is still not finished. You’ll also learn everything about how Gaudi planned it and how it’s going to be when it’s finished. You’ll want to come back in a few years to check out its progression!

12.45PM

After visiting the church you’ll get back to the car and your guide and your driver will drop you off back to your hotel or apartment, or at some restaurant of your choice (or our recommendation) for lunch.
