Learning about Salvador Dali

1.5 hours

Your guide and your driver will pick you up at your hotel/apartment and take you to Figueres, driving along a highway that as soon as the industrial suburbs of Barcelona are left behind starts crossing farmlands, pine tree woods and the Montseny mountains, until it reaches the Empordà area where Figueres is located. During the ride, your guide will start filling you in about Dali’s life, so you have a strong background that allows you to understand even better what you are about to see in the museum.

Every step a surprise

Dali used the ruins of the old theater of his hometown to create there his museum: a place that would be the highest exponent of Surrealism. With a theatrical air and a peculiar sense of humor that will occasionally make you feel like you are in a vintage funfair, you’ll find here a fine selection of some of Dali’s most important pieces, together with some artwork he designed in purpose of the museum.Your guide will get you to skip the lines (specially long in the high season), and show you around the museum, relating what you’ve been learning in the car with the works there. After this visit, your opinion about Dali will have changed forever!

Time to Eat!
