What’s The Best Brunch In Barcelona?

BARCELONA BRUNCH – THE YUMMY WAY TO START A SUNDAY

You don’t need to miss your Sunday brunch when you are in Barcelona. Actually, our area has an old tradition of strong breakfasts – the Catalan esmorzars de forquilla, literally “breakfasts to be eaten with a fork”. Head to the bars in the Boqueria market at 8AM to see what I mean! That’s how brunch has quickly become popular among the local (although not super mainstream yet).

If you need to start your sightseeing day with a lot of energy and for you that means a having late breakfast that fills your stomach – that is, brunch!, today you’ll love our post about the best restaurants for brunch in Barcelona. Check them out!

These are our favorite places for a great Barcelona Sunday Brunch:

1

Federal Café

This welcoming 3-floor venue with a Scandinavian feel might be serving one of the best Sunday brunches. Their organic choices attract people from all around the city, and since you can’t book a table, there are often long lines by the wait is worth it. Their eggs with spinach and mushrooms, and their baked beans are some of our favorite Sunday brunch recipes here.

This was probably one of the first places in Barcelona to start serving Sunday brunch some years ago, when it was still called Cafe Veranda. Placed in one of the best hotels in Barcelona, its brunch is as outstanding as the hotel views. They serve a great range of shellfish, ham, sausages, fresh fruits, baked goods, pastries and drinks. Don’t miss their crepes filled with anything you want. Check out the Arts hotel rooms.
