Driving around a big strange city doesn’t sound such a good idea, especially when you have a good public transport to move around. That’s why if you arrive to Barcelona by car, it’s highly recommended to choose an hotel with parking so you can leave the car safely parked there. Take into account that it’s difficult to find free parking in Barcelona and you’ll end up having to pay for private Barcelona parking garages anyway.
So forget about the nightmare of driving and parking in the city, and use public transportation, taxis or walk instead. This 5 star boutique hotel in the city centre is one of our favorite options for any kind of trip. What we like the most is the contrast between the inside vanguard design with the neoclassic facade designed by Frederic Amat. There is a chill-out in the terrace as well as a glazed pool, a gym, a fitness room with personal trainers, meeting room and a splendid gastronomy offer by Saüc Restaurant with one Michelin star. El Palace
If you like staying in the city center, this is another excellent option close to Las Ramblas, Passeig de Gràcia (the best shopping avenue) and the city’s main attractions. What I like the most there is its Diana Garden, the new romantinc terrace decorated with more than 50 plant species, fountains, pergolas, ponds… On the rooftop terrace there’s the swimming pool and 360º panoramic views. Gran Hotel La Florida
This luxury urban resort situated at the top of the Tibidabo Hill (at 500 metres above sea level) is the best option to relax far from the hustle and bustle of the city center. They have exclusive services such the Spa by L’Occitane, the high end cuisine by L’Orangerie, a great gym and wellness areas, and an amazing stainless steel infinity pool. It’s located in Passeig the Gràcia, the heart of the shopping district and a beautiful modernist avenue, just one block from La Pedrera by Gaudí, and a few minutes walk from the Old Town.
