Montserrat Wine Tour Reviews

My wife & I and another couple hired ForeverBarcelona Tour Company for a four day experience in Barcelona and some side trips. We did the 8 hour tour of Montserrat and a wine tour with Miriam. Oriol was our driver. They did not fail to impress us with their knowledge and love of Catalonia. The itinerary that Pilar & Marta put together for us included all the necessary sights and Cava tastings we would never have been able to experience on our own. Our driver Oriol was incredibly skilled at driving in the city traffic and Catalonia side roads, and dropping us as close as possible to the sights. We can’t imagine our visit to Barcelona being that great had we been on our own.

This tour was booked last minute and was absolutely spectacular. Miriam and her chauffeur Eugene picked us up at our hotel. The car was a beautiful Mercedes sedan. We drove to Montserrat and Miriam was very informative as we got to know a little bit about Barcelona and Montserrat. Once we were there the history lesson began ....amazing. We then went to a vineyard in cava country for a tour and tasting. The last stop was lunch at a typical Catalan restaurant where we were adventurous enough to have her order for us... best decision!!! The day was great, the tour spectacular, most importantly we met the most amazing Catalonian woman and we learned, laughed and had an unforgettable time!

Our family and used Forever Barcelona for private tours for 3 days of our week-long trip in Barcelona, and we would highly recommend them to anyone! We were able to see and do so much during our vacation because of the great tours that they helped organize. Our activities included a trip to Monserrat and a Cava winery, a full day Gaudi tour, and a walking tour of the Old Town. Montse was our wonderful guide for all three days, and she was perfect -- very informative, educational, and always pointing out recommendations for the rest of our stay, including restaurants, bars, and shops. She adjusted the tours to go at our pace, and the ability to skip the lines at the top attractions alone was worth the price!

Marta was an absolute delight. She planned our entire 6 day stay in Barcelona, evenly distributing sites and excursions. She always made it a point to make sure we secured lunch plans and she was willing to help us arrange after our tour. We never felt hurried and she really really knew her way around the city. My highest recommendation is the wine tour!! Amazing.

We were lucky enough to go to Montserrat and the surrounding area with Maria. Our flight was delayed by about 18 hrs and Forever Barcelona (THANK YOU MARTA AND MARIA FOR ACCOMODATING US!!!) worked with us and arranged to pick us up at the airport instead of the planned meeting place. We got straight off the plane and met them. We are so glad we did not cancel our tour! Montserrat is beautiful and Maria was very knowledgeable. She encouraged us to nap on the way and woke us up when the scenery got beautiful. She bought us some wonderful sweet bread at Montserrat and we had coffee (which we needed!). We then went to a fantastic cellar with Cava - many, many bottles of Cava for a tour and tasting. Lastly she took us to a Catalonian restaurant and helped us order. What a phenomenal day!!!!

We also did the 8 hour tour of Montserrat and a wine tour with Miriam and an 8 hour guided tour of Tarragona and Sitges with Begona. Oriorle was our driver for these as well. Again, they did not fail to impress us with their knowledge and love of Catalonia.
Service was always just as advertised – on time, professional, knowledgeable about art, history and the city. The itinerary that Pilar & Marta put together for us included all the necessary sights and Cava tastings we would never have been able to experience on our own. Our driver Oriole was incredibly skilled at driving in the city’s traffic and Catalonia side roads, and dropping us as close as possible to sights.
We can’t imagine our visit to Barcelona being this great had we been on our own.
