Our last tour with Marga was a full day to Tarragona and Sitges. She told the driver to stop a a Roman quarry (UNESCO site) as she figured we would appreciate it and not many tours stop there – yes!!! Then the Aqueduct before on to Tarragona. Tarragona was absolutely stunning – we saw the Roman Circus and Amphitheater. She also explained the history of the Castells (human towers) which is also a UNESCO protected cultural event. We finished the day in Sitges with a WONDERFUL lunch at Fragata. White table cloths, beachside patio, beautiful wines, seafood and tuna tartare. We sampled Esqueixada with her as well, traditional Catalan cod salad with olives, tomatoes… beautiful. She even had the driver stop at Garraf on the way into Barcelona to see the Gaudi “Guell Cellar” and picturesque green and white beach huts.

Fabulous experience but quite strenuous. Great deal of walking with inclines in Tarragona. History of city was very unique. Tour leader Begoña extremely knowledgeable with a great personality. Lunch in Sitges, a charming fishing village was delicious.
