Marta
Marta’s story
Hello! My name is Marta and I’m the founder of Foreverbarcelona.com.
My love story with guiding started in 1999 with a summer job when after traveling for a year after finishing college I was hired at the Sagrada Familia church (Gaudí’s Masterpiece), where I was trained to give tours for the special visitors (VIPs, press, etc.) amongst other responsibilities.
In 2000, encouraged by other guides she’d met, I passed the exams to become an Official Tourguide, and two years later I quit the Sagrada Familia to devote to full-time touring. I quickly realized that private tours were my favorite way to show people around: I love connecting with people, sharing my passion and making my guests fall in love with Barcelona.
What we love about her
Marta is as passionate about her job as much as she is in love with Barcelona… and she’ll make you feel that way, too!
After over 10 years giving tours, she’s still enthusiastic about her job (and people rave more and more about her tours!). She’s friendly, personable and fun, but also efficient and responsible.
Knowledgeable and informative, with her you’ll learn a lot… and enjoy doing it!
Her goal is to make you feel at home and understand your needs, so she can tweak the itinerary on the fly and give you what you want.
For all this, many of her guests won’t doubt to count her among the very best tour guides they’ve ever hired. You’ll be charmed by her delightful personality.
She’s an entrepreneur and runs her business and her tours with professionalism. She’s also a foodie, and she’ll be glad to share with you her favorite places to go eat.
