Reviews of our 1.5 Day Tour of Barcelona

Had a day and a half with two guides from ForereverBarcelona: Pepus and Begoña. Can I just say what a delite. A full day with Pepus and the time went in a flash. Not only was it a sight seeing tour but Pepus shared his culture of food and wine as well. A bonus for sure. Begoña was always quick with a smile and laughter was close at hand. If you are looking for quick and cheap, then this company isn’t for you. You pay for what you get and there was a lot given.

My wife and I visited Barcelona prior to a cruise and only had a day and a half to see the “sights”. Marta and her staff was fantastic from beginning to end. She shared with us insights into Barcelona that we would have never seen (e.G., she learned my wife loved cactus plant and we visited probably the most unique “cactus garden” we have ever seen). It is the little things like that make the experience great.

When Javier arrived we were ready to go. He asked if we could site for a few minutes to go over the map and talk about our tour and get to know each other a little so we would get the most out of our tour. I expected a pre-designed personal tour where we hit all the highlights fairly quickly. I was pleasantly surprised when we sat together and designed our own tour. My wife and I are both photographers and foodies so we like to take longer at some locations than others. Not only did Javier take us to the most incredible sites and restaurants, we didn’t go to any sites we thought were marginal. He did an excellent job of understanding who we are and filling our 1.5 days perfectly while keeping us on track an teaching us history, lifestyles and why and how of this wonderful city and culture, with enthusiasm and professionalism.

We spent our first 1 1/2 days of a wonderful stay in Barcelona with Javier. He was exceptional at navigating the tourist crowds so that every experience from Gaudi buildings to Roman ruins, to Cathedrals, to the unique buildings in various neighborhoods felt efficient, meaningful and chock full of history.

My wife and I and another couple hired ForeverBarcelona for a four day experience in Barcelona and some side trips. Before we decided on which of the offerings to take Pilar and Marta were extremely helpful and exceptionally responsive. We eventually decided on a 4 hour guided tour on the first day. What an exceptional introduction to the city that proved to be. Our driver Oriol and guide Begoña picked us up at our apartment just as advertised and itnroduced us tot he key sites around Barcelona. Begoña was superbly knowledgeable and brought the major Gaudi sites to life for us. On the second day, Begoña gave us a walking tour in the morning and a chauffeured tour in the afternoon that introduced some of the lesser known sites, but added significantly to our appreciateion of the complexity Barcelona offers. We also did a 12 hour tour of Figueres, Pubol and Portlligat, the 8 hour tour of Montserrat and wine tour with Miriam, and an 8 hour tour of Tarragona and Sitges with Begoña.
