This is a sample itinerary for our Private Sweet Tour of Barcelona.
Final itinerary and timings might vary due to many factors (your location and pace, your favorite treats…)
9.30AM
- TOUR STARTS
BOQUERIA MARKET
Foodies Paradise
- Walk
Meet your guide and head to the most famous food market in Barcelona, that is also a heaven of sweets. Giant lollipops, piles of caramelized fruit and nuts, assorted chocolate with a myriad of toppings, turron (nougat) stalls… Yes, at the market they sell other stuff, too (fish, meats, veggies…), but in this tour we’ll focus on their sweetest products – unless you ask us to show you everything since we are there, of course!
- Continue Walking
RAMBLA & GOTHIC QUARTER AREA
Traditional Deserts
10.15AM
- Walk
Your tour will continue exploring some great Spanish cakes stores and dessert places in the Rambla area, most of them very traditional although there is also some space for innovation, too. Cakes, chocolate, dairy deserts, turron (Spanish Christmas nougat), gelato… but the highlight will definitely be enjoying some thick rich hot chocolate with churros in one of the most famous places of Barcelona for that.
- Continue Walking
BORN DISTRICT
Top Cake Chefs
12.30AM
- Walk
After stopping at a candy factory, you’ll cross over to the Born District, a trendy neighborhood that hides some awesome sweet treasures: at least 3 top cake chefs have open there venues, either cake stores, bakeries or cafés. Best Chocolate Cake in the World 2005, anyone? Or maybe Best Butter Croissant in Spain 2014?
1.30PM
- TOUR ENDS
When the tour is over, your guide can put you on a taxi or give you directions to take the subway or walk back to your hotel, or give you recommendations for lunch… if you are still hungry!
