This was our second tour of our trip. It was an early day due to the fact the Dali museum is about 2hrs outside of barcelona. Pepus was our guide. we were very fortunate to have him as he is a veteran tour guide and filled with information. he was very pleasant, accomodating and knowledgeable. Our shuttle was a brand new mercedes shuttle very comfortable which made the trip there and back very easy.
The museum is a must see. as soon as you arrive you know it will be a great visual experience. Luckily with Pepus we did not have to stand in line at all. but the museum did fill up quick as there are many tours much bigger than us arriving continuously throughout the day.
Pepus being a veteran tailored our tour to what we liked and took us through the must-sees. I can start listing my favorite pieces but there are too many. every room you go into is another visually stimulating display of Dali's work. We can spend two days there and probably still have pieces leftover to check out. we had time left over for my parents to have coffee and to go to the temporary display of Dali's work and influence in jewelry. it was very different to see his work translate into wearable art pieces but the collection was small.
With Pepus the conversations was full information about the history of barcelona, and the surrounding areas. it was very nice and informative and made the time pass very quickly.
I would definitely recommend this tour to figueres to anyone that enjoyed Miro and picasso museums. it is worth the trip and the price. Trust me as we were only 3 persons, i was very worried the experience would not have been worth it. the tour is priced based on 6 persons but have been on it once, i would totally book it again with friends and family that have never been.
Thank you, Pepus and ForeverBarcelona for the awesome experience and memories.

We just spent a week in Barcelona and used Begoña as our guide. Today we went to see the Salvador Dali Museum with her in Figueres and it is a must. She is a pro at being a guide.

None of us are Dali fans but she made the art come alive with his history and what he was doing in each piece. Many had different paintings and topics within one painting. By looking at it from different distances, one could see different things. We gained a respect for his art.

We visited three different museums (Picasso, Dali and the National museum) during our trip and Lidia had an immense wealth of knowledge about the artists, and enriched the experience immeasurably. Also, because they are credentialed tour guides, they are usually able to whisk you right past the long lines and into the various venues.
