Top Spanish White Wine Brands you need to try

Spain white wine will definitely surprise you

While the country is famous for its reds, Spanish white wine is definitely worth trying. Some time now in Spain, many producers have bet for white wines and start producing really good products: not only young white wines, but barrel crianzas as well that deserves an opportunity to be tasted.

They are perfect paired with salads, appetizers and snacks, cheeses, soups, creams, fish or white meat dishes. Do you want to know what are the white wine brands we recommend?Spanish White Wine Brands

THESE ARE OUR FAVORITE SPANISH WHITE WINE CHOICES:

Mar de Frades. Our first choice is an albariño wine from the Destination of Origin Rías Baixas. Albariño is one of the most famous Spanish white varietals, typical from Galicia in the North of Spain. This is a dry wine, really soft and delicious. Its unusual blue bottle reminds you of water, sea and fish, and it does go really well with white fish and shellfish.

Capellanía. Spanish Rioja wine is most famous for its reds, but there are also produced some spectacular white ones such as Capellanía, an aged white with body and character. The Macabeo grape gives it a powerful smell with some wood notes. Its taste has aromas of vanilla and wood. A good wine to pair with smoked fish, fresh products like cheeses or foie gras, as well as rice.

Sumarroca Xarel·lo. A wine from the Penedès DO region, a privileged zone known for its white wine brands and cava: the mild temperatures all year round due to its proximity to the Mediterranean sea and the influence of the sun, make it a perfect place for fruity and aromatic wines. Sumarroca Xarel·lo is produced with the local Xarel·lo grape variety, with a lovely fruity aroma of grapefruit, pineapple and peach, and also some citrus notes.Spain White Winte in the summer

Blanco Nieva Pie Franco. A young wine from the Rueda, made with Verdejo grape, one of the best varieties in Spain. The Blanco Nieva Pie Franco is a fresh wine, with aromas of ripe fruit, roses, mint and some minerals and a surprisingly intense smell.

Mas d’en Compte. Although most of the wines of the Destination of Origin Priorat are red, there are also some special white wines with a lot of character such as this one: a powerful drink that contains complex aromas of tropical fruits, vanilla, white flowers and also some toasted aromas.
