Should You Stay At The Barcelona Hotel 1898?
1898 HOTEL: FINALLY A GOOD CHOICE FOR HOTELS IN LA RAMBLA
The hotel 1898 one of our favorite hotels if you like staying in the heart of the hurrican. La Rambla, is an always busy and fascinating street. There are lots of things going on, and its’ a great starting point to explore most of the city sites. And if you are staying in one of the best hotels in it, is there anything else you can ask?
This is what we love about the 1898 hotel:
1
Location
East of Les Rambles you’ll find the Gothic Quarter with its medieval buildings and some roman ruins.
Plus the area is also really close to the Boqueria food market: foodies paradise. The downside is that it’s a busy, noisy and touristic area, but don’t worry! All rooms are nicely isolated to make your night rest comfortable.
2
Colonial Design
Built in 1891 to be the headquarters of the Philippines Tobacco Company, Spain’s main tobacco importer, the hotel decoration has been inspired in the history of the place and to become the only colonial style hotel in the city.
3
Drink Bar
After a walk around Barcelona a whole day, who doesn’t deserve a good drink? Situated in the lobby of the hotel, the H1898 bar is the perfect place to meet with your friends and travel mates. Not only for its wide range of drinks and their tapas assortment, but also for its friendly baristas always making sure you are comfortable and spend a nice time. Relax and enjoy a drink!
4
Spa
Who would guess that in one of the busiest areas in the city you could find such a relaxing place to forget stress and unplug? The 1898 Hotel features a magnificent Spa including a covered heated pool and a thermal circuit. Everything with panoramic views in a luxurious atmosphere. BTW, here are some other great hotel spas.
5
Colonial Suite
Want to make your stay even more special? The best room at the Barcelona Hotel 1898 is the Suite Colonial, a 50 m2 room with a private hot tub, a relaxing solarium and a chill-out zone. And more: a private 60 m2 terrace with wonderful views over the city! Of course, everything with the best services: breakfast included, French Champagne welcome bottle, gourmet sweets, etc. Book it here.
AND BONUS! One more thing we absolutely love about the Hotel 1898:
6
La Isabella Roof Top Bar
Open from April to October, the roof terrace La Isabella (called after one of the more beautiful Philippines islands) is a perfect place to see the Barcelona’s skyline while enjoying a delicious house-made tapa or a cocktail and listen to music in a relaxing atmosphere. A must in summer.
